“Clara’s relationship with Christian is intense from the start, and like nothing she’s ever experienced before. But what starts as devotion quickly becomes obsession, and it’s almost too late before Clara realizes how far gone Christian is—and what he’s willing to do to make her stay.
Now Clara has left the city—and Christian—behind. No one back home has any idea where she is, but she still struggles to shake off her fear. She knows Christian won’t let her go that easily, and that no matter how far she runs, it may not be far enough….”
I’ve always loved Deb Caletti books, she’s one of my favorite YA contemporary authors. When I came across this galley, I was psyched. I’ve been wanting to read this book since I heard it was coming out.
I loved the character of Clara, I know how easy it is to get deep into a bad relationship. When you are in love, you look past that person’s flaws. They don’t seem like such a big deal. When you finally escape, it’s obvious how much of a big deal they really were.
I loved the Bishop family. Everything about them drew me in. They were such a fun, loving family. I also ADORED Gulliver, the seagull. Every time he was mentioned I was sure to giggle out loud.
When this book is released, I’m sure to buy a copy to put proudly on my shelf. I absolutely loved it, I have nothing negative to say about it. It will be released on April 5th, so you don’t have much of a wait for it!
I received this book as a free galley from Simon & Schuster, that did not effect my review in anyway.
